Be PrePared, Do Your Research!

September 8th

So good week, had a really fun week so it was nice.  BUT... seems like there is not to much to report...

Okay so funny story,

My peers are planning to go on a hike, I looked into it to be prepared!  That is how I was raised; BE PREPARED!  I relayed some of my concerns to the elders that were planning this 15 mile hike, and they responded with; "If you don't feel comfortable doing the long hike, we would advise you not to attend."
So that made me a little upset, but alas, I didn't go. They met at 5:45am, they had to do 1/2 hour of dirt off roading to even get to trail head (in mission cars mind you) so not good to start with, when they got to the trail head at about 6:30am, they were already 30 minutes behind schedule.
We received a text from another companionship and they said "we got there and found out we need parking permits to leave the cars and it is a 300. dollar fine if we get caught (per car) so we just are going to go on short hike."
So it's my opinion that they clearly did not do all the research they said they did, because if they did parking permits would have been one of the first things that popped up! So I felt really good about the research I'd done, I got to get normal amount of sleep, another elder and I went a different direction and had such a good mountain biking trip, so much fun, we got back to the apartment, dressed, and back to starting point, at the same time it took them to do the hike, so we for sure got the better end of the deal.
After we heard about the parking permit thing, the first thought in my head was to text the elders that advised me not to attend and say "If you need a Parking Permit, I would advise you not to attend the hike." but alas I chose not too!!!

So not to much else to make known, This is week 6 so transfer calls are on Saturday, and so by Monday  I will know if I am leaving or not, pretty sure I am staying here, so stay tuned. And Stake conference is this week and a new ward is going to be made we are pretty sure of that, so that will be awesome. It will be the 3rd new ward made in the Mission since I have been out, so the church is for sure growing out here in So Cal. 

We had a lot of member lessons this week which is always good. 

That is crazy about Zane, I am pretty sure every time he has helped us with something he has gotten hurt in some way, he probably should stop doing things for us. But glad dad found him and that all is going well. Sorry to hear about the rain, it seems like that always happens.

Oh, Brianna, wants to fly out for my homecoming, so mom you might want to talk to her about that, she emailed me and said that could be her Senior Trip, so we shall see what goes on.

Exciting news about another girl for Austin and Anona, a little frustrating though for Austin I can image!!!   That will make for lively teenage years.

Diet is going good, not insane amount of weight lose but I feel healthier, all the veggies and natural food kind of threw me under the bus the first few days of the diet as my body had to adjust but I feel way better now along with the consistent working out and multi vitamin I should at least be healthy, maybe not thin by the time I return home, but as long as I can fit into the pants I have on I will be fine. 

The ward RS Prez is going to teach me how to use  a sewing machine and how to taper a pair of pants next thursday, so hopefully I will have tapered suit and proselyting pants by the end of the week. 

Anyways, not to much else to update you on. I don't have a cable and so no pictures as of right now, but I will get you  some. Thank you so much for everything, Also, I might disinvite that no tv on sunday thing, as long as all necessary church stuff is done and all of that it s okay hahaha!!!

Life is like a Map...

Sorry for the late in the day email, these comps I have are pretty ridiculous but it is all good...

So serving here in the Newport Beach First Ward has been very interesting to say the least...lots of money EVERYWHERE it can get pretty annoying pretty quick. But hey, as you can see from the picture i have attached of my area I am right on the ocean, more than in Dana Point which I did not think could happen. Interesting thing about the ward is that it is a family ward as well as the Mid-Singles ward which covers the whole stake...so what does that mean?  ...I can go anywhere in the Newport Beach Stake/Mission (with permission) to go visit members of the ward. It is awesome. Not being held down to such a small area has been really nice. I think I have one more area in me after this, which is weird to say so I am for sure as always putting all I can into this ward to make sure to get everything going where it needs to. Cool thing being 10 minutes from the Temple, that seems weird, but really really nice.

We are teaching a 9 year old!  

There really is not to much else to add. Mission is going great, As always crazy to see how fast time goes and all of that..never really seems like it is moving fast until I look at my calendar and see all of the days that have passed by.  

Looking at life in 6 week segments really changes the perspective you have.

Can't help myself, from sometimes thinking about the future!

Interesting thought I was reading in my studies this morning in Alma 39:14 which says "^aSeek not after riches nor the vain things of this world; for behold, you cannot carry them with you."

The thought that came into my head was that of a career again...I thought I need to not look at going into something solely to make money, I need to first find what I love to do, than find a job in that that is in somewhat demand and will allow me to provide for my family in a place I could handle living in. So it was interesting and opened my eyes as to what I want to look into for a career/where to go to school. I wrote down the order of schools I am going to apply to 1 Byu Provo 2 Byu Hawaii 3 WWU 4 SUU 5 UNO

So we shall see what the Lord has in store for my future.

Should you Serve at 18 or 19?

So the SEAHAWKS WON!!!!!! Yes I am so excited to hear about that. Like I said there is a family in the ward the whom I have gotten pretty close with. They are for sure the coolest family!  Their daughter got baptized on Saturday which we were lucky enough to attend. Afterwards they invited us over for dinner with friends and family and actually hit it up pretty good with some friends who live outside of the area but in Mission Viejo. Super cool family that within the next few months I am sure will look into the Gospel. Anyways, to make this story short, Yesterday we did not have a dinner which sucks, especially on Sunday...So after sacrament we talked to this mom and asked if we could swing by and pick up leftovers from Saturday night and she said sure thing. Now, here was the obedience I walk in and guess what is happening? All of them decked out in Seahawks gear watching the game, it was so hard, literally the game was 10 feet away and I did not watch it haha GAHHH SO close haha. Anyways, their son who is 14 kept me updated through out the night so I felt as if I was watching for sure. Seeing as it was a blow out I am not to bummed I missed the game. That is what this new digital age is for right? Re runs and highlights???

 

Anyways...as far as the work, my companionship is difficult. They have figured out that it is 2 on 1 because One hates his mission and has no desire to be out here but refuses to go home but refuses to be obedient no matter what anyone says to him. The other companion is finding it easier to side with that one than with me and it makes it where I am doing about 85 to 90 percent of the work. The plan hopefully is that they can stay together and either shape up or ship out.  Either the one will just continue to hate the mission, with a companion that isn't a hard worker and obedient and decide home is the best option for him. 

Terrible to say but I hate what the church culture does to us, BUT the 18 year old change is the EXCEPTION not the rule. Pray about when you should go.  It is so irritating, I have seen so many 18 year olds come out who are just not ready at all to live the standards one must live as a missionary.  So two weeks left, Zone Leaders told me to call or text them anytime I need to vent or talk to someone who is not my companion so that should make things a little easier.

Oh I have a Family History Miracle...

So Irie (Trie) Asleson my Great Grandfather, Pops he is your Grandfather. I have been watching his name for the past year. So I was looking at the line on Wednesday and found something. Asleson and guess what??!! I found him! Anyways that was a cool miracle I found and am so stoked to continue to do that work as I move forward.  

Anyways not to much else to report on. Thank you for all you all do and the prayers and fasting you have done.  We have gotten a little rain off and on the past week but no where near what we need, through all the fasting and praying though we will see miracles happen. Thank you family for all you do - hey Ayris you look so happy and I am happy for you. Keep up the awesome work :) Dad thank you and just know everything will work out the way it needs to and we are in Washington for a reason.  Mom...Keep being you, you rock and you mean a lot to me. 

I love you all so much and cannot wait to hear from you again!!  I love letters and packages!!!!

Down and dirty

Hey there family!

So this week was better than the last for sure. To get it out there I am not getting transferred this time which is nice. Getting to stay in the area for Thanksgiving and  Christmas will be nice.

 Let's see what happened this week out here in the mission field???

Man again let's see...President Ellis came to our sacrament meeting yesterday which was interesting. Talked to me about some teaching ideas we are going to "pilot", then potentially introduce them into the mission starting next year, all in a hope of seeing some success! So, talked to president about all of that and he has assigned President Ellis to my "case" so to speak and will be working with me every week until the end of the year to help the ward success pick up and to help me with my companion. So that should be fun and exciting. Love trying new things, all the help is greatly appreciated.

Wednesday we helped do some yard work with the non member husband of a member. It was pretty fun, helped turn over his neighbors yard so we could put some new grass down, because the winter time here - is yard work time apparently haha! It was nice to get yard work done, good labor that I hadn't gotten to do for a while. Saturday we did some gardening which was fun, tore out weeds and dead trees and such then took some potted plants and planted them in the ground, so again nice and fun to get down and dirty doing some good 'ole yard work.  Who knew I'd appreciate doing yard work?  Jacob 5:72And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things.

The work is s..l...o..w...l...y... picking up in the ward. Lots to do and I am pretty sure I am going to be for at least 2 probably 3-4 more transfers, president is starting the process of getting missionaries in wards and keeping them there for 6-8 months which will be really nice. There is lots of potential here, the ward just has not had the consistency that is needed to see good genuine success. So I hope to get to be a part of all of it, push through the struggles and trials to see the miracles come about.

Not to much else to report on. My trio is going from just that - to a normal companionship, so truly, pray for me. First time in 11 months I will be in a apartment with only one other missionary so I do not know how I will handle it!?! WEIRD. Not to much else to report on, I will be sending some stuff home probably within the next few weeks, "Winter Cleaning" so to speak.   Any other questions let me know, and I hope this week goes by well and that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving on Thursday, make sure flat Amric is sitting at the table with you :) Love you all so much have a great and safe week :)

The three amigos before getting transferred

I have a new companion, his name is Elder Samuel Robison. He is from the great city of Boise Idaho and is 19 years old. He is actually a month older than me which is funny to be training him. He is a great missionary and has a great head on his shoulders. Excited to see the work go forward with awesomeness here in the Dana Point Area.

In August my nephew was baptized by immersion

A, dropped us as missionaries. He is no longer wanting to learn from us. He came here to the States to do and find things that would not be open to him in Iran and so it makes sense. He is a smart guy and wants to learn all he can before making a decision, I am positive he will return and want to continue to progress in the Gospel. 

We have a date for baptism....November 2nd. A little later than anticipated but it is going to happen so that is what matters. His brother has decided to get baptized as well which is amazing. Such a cool experience being a part of all of this with them and seeing them learn and grow in the gospel. It is getting the ward excited and they want to help us along as much as they can. 

Yesterday picked up a new investigator. We met her on the street and asked if she would be interested in learning more about Jesus Christ. She excitedly said yes and we set an appointment for yesterday at 4:00. We went over and talked about The Spirit World, Book of Mormon, Word of Wisdom, and Baptism. She said she was born and raised Catholic along with her husband but they want their kids to be raised in a Bible based religion so they started going to a born again church. When talking about baptism she said "My husband and I were baptized as babies, but it makes sense that we would need to get baptized again because we are older and can actually know what we have done wrong  "Are your serious!" We were so excited, she asked us what she needed to study to learn more so we gave her 2nd Nephi 31 ( http://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/2-ne/31?lang=eng ) and said this will help you know what you need to do to best follow Christ and bring as much happiness as possible into the life of your family. 

So all is going well out here in the field, Hard at times but the miracles make it all worth it. I love you all so much and hope your week ahead is full of miracles and even more exciting news. Follow the spirit in all that you do, know that contention is of the devil and we all need to agree before we act. The Lord will Justify us in all the GOOD things that we do. Stay strong and of good courage and know that the Lord is real, does exist and does truly care about each one of his Brothers and Sisters. You are loved and cared by a power greater than any of us can comprehend. Love you all :)

SERVE, FOLLOW, WRITE - oh and LEAD! It's busy out here!

Oh man my family and friends ....  how crazy has this week been?????

So some quick updates for you from my life...I am training another missionary, starting today.

Elder Belnap and Elder Hair are getting transferred so I will be getting someone brand new from the MTC again in a couple of hours. Keep it in your prayers the rest of the day that it is someone who is ready to work and get going!  Other than that not anymore transfer news. I am staying District Leader here in Dana Point. So I will have 2 conferences in the same ward, I just think it is so crazy to be back here. The Combined total at the end of this transfer will be 6 months in Dana Point ward. Which will be really nice. 

I got all of your emails which was great. Thank you so much for your time and effort in sending those out. 

So this week brought about lots of craziness...first off this week brought about September!!! Say What?!!! What has happened???!!! This is going by so fast, 8 months out and it feels like a month or two. Cannot even imagine how fast it will feel at the end. But hey, staying busy and dedicated to the work - thats why it goes by so fast. Staying busy and focused on the work, not on the time that is what I have learned to do. 

We are meeting with a family who lives just down the street I taught she and her family when I was here before.  It is so great and she recognizes that everything happens for a reason.

Thanks for the email pops.! Always good to hear from you. I will keep you in my prayers for the work. Cool to here that the ward could potentially have 5-7 missionaries out at the same time. I will keep all of them in my thoughts and email them or write them if they reach out for help/questions/concerns. Keep up the good work you have done.

Deep thought;   Read Alma 8 focusing on verses 18-20. 

18 Now it came to pass that after Alma had received his message from the angel of the Lord he returned speedily to the land of Ammonihah. And he entered the city by another way, yea, by the way which is on the south of the city of Ammonihah.

 19 And as ^ahe entered the city he was an hungered, and he said to a man: Will ye give to an humble servant of God something to eat?

 20 And the man said unto him: I am a Nephite, and I know that thou art a holy prophet of God, for thou art the man whom an^aangel said in a vision: Thou shalt receive. Therefore, go with me into my house and I will impart unto thee of my ^bfood; and I know that thou wilt be a blessing unto me and my house.

It might be confusing, but if it is read the whole chapter, this is where Alma and Amulek become missionary companions or "Co-Workers", they find each other. As you read Answer the question "How does Alma run into Amulek and what does that signify? How can it help me in my life deal with those I work with?" 

Hope that helps, maybe there was a reason those verses jumped out at me. I know that everything happens for a reason.  Good luck with the sisters moving in. Everything has a purpose. Maybe one of them is suppose to marry me!!! hahaha!

Well, thank you for taking the time to read this email. The Gospel becomes more and more clear everyday. You all are great support to me. Thank you for being you and staying amazing. I know the job will work out. I had a confirmation that it will. Whatever the Lord sees. Before you get a call from FCNW watch the mormon message entitled "The Will of God" it is my favorite and will help all of us through this. 

Thank you for all you do. Remember, no matter what, it all goes back to Jesus Christ, no matter who you are, what you do, or what happens, all goes back to and is overcome through and by Jesus Christ. I love you so much and hope this week will be a great one. 

I do not have much to email today as we have to get packed and run final errands for transfers. Mom, Just so you know "Missionary Lingo" verbiage goes like this; Son = someone you train.   Father = the person who trained you.  Kill someone = you were the last companion before they went home.

The Life You Live is the Lesson You Teach...

So i do not have a lot of time to write an email today so I will explain in bullet points. Sorry, 

• Elders bailed on a service project (Of Course one on P-Day) so we have to cover for them. Takes out about three hours from the day So I shall be quick. 
• We had a mom come up to us on Sunday and tell us that...Her son Max who is 12 has decided he wants to get baptized and that his dad is on board so she wants to get it done by the end of the month!! No Specific date yet as he is deciding who he wants to baptize him and then make travel plans to fit. So that should be super awesome, hopefully we get to teach him a couple times this week to make sure all it well.
• Elder Belnap and I are having a relatively fun time with Elder Hair. Lots of service projects going on and helping our new-be find his feet in missionary work. 
• The District is going well. The missionaries seem to like me and I gave my first training the other day. 90 minutes of "me" giving a Gospel lesson, super intimidating, and that was with a weeks prep behind it! cannot imagine how hard it is for seminary teachers.
• Loving the mission, Dana Point is my second home. I love it here and know that I will want to come back here to visit and to bring the family.
• I am loving the mission and the work is picking up and going great.
• I will keep all of you in my prayers this week as it sounds like lots is going on. You are all the best and hope all goes well this week. 
• No mom I do not need anything :)

You See what you Expect to see!

So here I am, P-Day has been switched to Monday now!  I actually kind of like it a little more. It makes reporting numbers Sunday night way easier then before easier to plan out the whole day.

So I am sure you are all wondering where I have been assigned to serve...Well I have the answer...

DANA POINT

Yes I am back in the Dana Point ward and it feels so good to be back, feel like I have come home! The members still remember me and seem to love having me back. I am companions with Elders Belnap (Who was also trained by Armstrong) and Hair (Like the stuff on your head). It is so much fun being back here and to be training a brand new missionary. A little weird that he graduated high school about three months ago!  

We had a couple miracles happen this first week of the transfer which made it even more awesome. 

• We met this one lady who came out and started talking to us and saying how a couple of years ago she sent in a request for missionaries but she must have done it wrong because no body came. Long story short She gave us her name address and phone number and told us to come to her home to teach her. 
• The another one was we were walking around looking for a street and ran into this lady and started talking to her. She started telling us how she is trying to overcome her addiction to alcohol and was asking God for help. We started sharing our purpose with her and she asked if we were messengers from God because we were exactly what she needed at that time. We asked if we could help her with anything and she said she needed prayers we told her we would and she asked if we could pray right there. So we prayed right there on the street. She was so happy that her prayer was answered and knew it was from God and so told us that because of us she wasn't going to go to buy her beer - she did not need it anymore. So she accepted a teaching visit for later this week and hopefully we will get to set up a time to visit. 

It is always cool seeing how the Lord works his answers into our lives. We are all merely tools that need to keep ourselves sharp so we can be used at anytime we are needed. By the way that is the thought for the week, keep yourself spiritually and mentally sharp so when called upon the Lord will be able to trust you with those he has prepared.

The work is going great. Always good to be a missionary and serve the people around me. More responsibility is killing me, a lot more paperwork but it is fulfilling.

When we stop by to visit members to say hello the church members who remember me, the first thing everybody says is; "You look way thinner" or "How much weight have you lost"!   That is super cool to actually hear the fact people notice. We had dinner at the Tomlinsons last night and Sister T said "Dont try hiding back there I know you are skinny but you cant hide from me" hahaha! oh Sister T always the jokester. :)

The mission is awesome I love it and it is staying amazing and great. Keep the faith in all you do and know that I love you all very much and miss you so much. Forgot my camera and so pictures will be coming next week. Stay amazing and stay classy!

April 16th Welcome to The Southern most tip of my mission!

It's looks like, since I went south I'll probably stay in the Carlsbad Mission!

AREA: My new ward is Carmel Valley, the Stake is Del Mar.  The community is a suburb, essentially of San Diego. The area is amazing and the ward is great.  I have learned this trivia; It is the Highest paying stake in the world. Who would have thought that they even kept such a status?  It isn't as close to the beach as Dana Point or at least it doesn't look like it is.  It is the very most southern tip of the mission so one wrong turn can take you out of the mission boundaries.  Which could be life altering according to my companion!  Companion:  He is in his last transfer his name is Elder Soderberg.

RUGBY:One of the top high school rugby programs in the nation is actually in Carmel Valley, Torrey Pines High School and a lot of the young men in the ward play on the team. So that has been fun. HOUSE Arrangements: I am living with a member, I have composed a letter written by hand that explains more that living arrangement.We go to the Library to email on Tuesday.

Other than that sadly to say is not to much else. I came into an already scheduled baptismal date with a man with a for April 27th.

WHAT I DO ALL DAY: We tract for 12 hours a day! and had One - yeah 1 teaching appointment this last week!!!  Maybe its just the area; but I am dissapointed because I know that the area can do much better. My companion is trunkie.So that's the "catch Up" and info on my whereabouts!  The mission life is getting easier, and tougher at the same time.  Easier because I am starting to figure out the ropes and littler better so I don't feel so lost. Tougher because I always start to think how long I have been out versus how much longer!   I guess it's a thought missionaries have lots! You just have to push forward everyday and don't look back.  A man who looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God.  I don't know where I'd be without my parents and the support of my family and friends.  thank you who do support me :)

Okay so to prevent me from saying anything else that is super negative I will conclude with this statement.


I want to leave my mission with the knowledge that I know I did not leave anything back.  I am going to put all my cards and testimony on the table in hopefully every situation I am placed in. I know Heavenly Father has put me in this spot at this time for a exact and specific reason and for that knowledge alone I am grateful and thus nothing should be held back.  I do not want to look back and think or feel that I left something out. That is my goals for my next 20 months. Do the best I can in putting everything I have out there so that those I am put in the path of have every oppotunity to accept or deny the truth.

Luke 9:62 and Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

I am a WitNess...

Let's start the letter with some interesting news:
I am being Transferred. 
Today is my last day in gorgeous Dana Point. 
Hard to accept, but hey! the Lord knows more than I do so I know that I am needed at this point in time to go to another place the Lord needs me at.   We have a thought, as an apartment that I am going to get assigned to the Temecula Stake because in 4 weeks Murietta (Mur-e-etta) Stake is becoming a part of Carlsbad mission from the Riverside mission.
No missionaries from the Riverside mission are staying so they are going to be whitewashing a whole Zone. Thus we think a lot of us will get assigned out to Temecula, then moved into Murietta in four weeks. I will go and do but dang ...

1. It is HOT out there in the summer like 115*! 
2. Whichever I get assigned tonight will probably determine the mission I get assigned to!
3. If I get assigned out there I wont be able to come to any baptisms in Dana Point because I will be to far away. So who knows???   but I will let you guys know next week where I am located. Mail still goes to same place so dont worry about mail you have already sent, I will get it, AND keep sending them!!!

Okay, now for some area news from the past week of being here in Dana Point. We have been crazy busy in getting the area ready for new missionaries to come in and that has taken a lot of time out of our week - because of all the stuff we needed to do (Planners, Map, Appointments, different things like that). But hey! it has made the time go crazy fast. Weird to think that it is the 9th of April already. Time is moving so fast and I am sure every transfer will just get faster and faster throughout the next two years.

Conference was amazing. First off, did you hear President Eyring Basically say out loud he has seen Jesus Christ "I am a witness of the resurrection of Christ" and "I know as surely as Joseph Smith did in the grove".  All the missionaries were freaking out that he said that. I mean we already know they have, cuz really they are apostles! but still, when they say it like that it just gives you goosebumps.   Also, It looks like Elder Perry has been taking Pulpit Pounding tips from our boy Elder Holland. Man, didnt Elder Perry throw down? It was AWESOME!!! SIN WILL ALWAYS BE SIN!! THE blessings of God are IMMUTABLE!! Yeah, I will tell you what, I totally felt the power dont know about you but hey! that was one of the best conference sessions I can remember.   Did Elder Fallabella come speak in Omaha? I know his name and could have sworn while he was speaking that I had heard that voice at a stake conference adult session. Let me know if he did...What about a temple in Cedar City huh?? The conference crowd gasped when he said that, who would have thought another Temple in Utah. 

Lets see what else???? 

K and her girls are doing good. We had an AMAZING lesson with them last thursday night. It was so cool I can't really explain what happened, just that the spirit was so strong and I could feel it testifying of truth to her and everyone else that was in the room as well. After the lesson I had the opportunity to give her a blessing of comfort and counsel and it was super cool. I seriously cannot remember anything I said, but when Sister T was telling about what she was feeling during it she said in her "50 odd years of life that was one of the best blessing she has ever heard". That it was so well worded. 
She and Brother T said I remind them of Nephi, Large in stature and spirit hahaha! That was really cool to hear that from them. They said I will be a great missionary and affect a lot of lives with the way I teach. I wish I could remember what I said but thats the thing, I didnt say it, the Spirit said it through me, those words are not for me to remember, They were meant for K and everyone else and are for them to remember. Our new investigator S and her less active boyfriend J are doing amazingly well! They are both honest seekers of truth and just want to know if God is really there and what He wants for them in their lives right now.

I got to say my goodbyes last night to the Rubalcava's, Tomlinson's, and Keli and her family. It sucked to say goodbye but i know I will be back to visit when the mission is over so this is not the last time I will see all of them. Brother Rubalcava told me I had to come and visit and he would take me out on his sail boat and we could go to Catalina Island. So parents, put that in your planners for April 2015. Coming back to visit Amric's mission!

Tell Dad this, Sell the Mazda  I love the car but its just a possesion and we do not need it right now. I love the car but we dont truly need it.  In this three months I have seen a single mom with a 3 year old child with severe ADHD be happy living in a 300 SQ foot flat paying 900 a month for rent. I have also seen people driving Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Aston Martin's, and all sorts of other exotics.  People living in Ginormous 6,7,8 thousand sq foot homes be happy as well. The Mom has the Gospel and the others do not. Who will be happier in the long run? The mom with the Gospel and her child. Family and religion are two things that dont mix well here in So Cal. all you need to know is that I could have a 30 year old Lemon car or a Aston Martin. I will be happy no matter what because I have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and a family that loves me no matter what. The car is a possession that will go away. The family - the love and faith we have, that won't go away and thats what makes everything worth it. Sell the car, its just a possession! 

I know you are probably like who is this and where is my son? But this mission has changed me a lot up to this point and will continue to change me over the next two years so WATCH OUT!

The experiences that I have been able to have these past three months have shaped me and molded me onto the path of who I need to become. Heavenly Father has a specific plan for me in whatever mission I end up in. I know that I have had experiences and a certain testimony that is meant for at least one person in every area I serve in. With that Knowledge I close my time in Dana Point, I did not die with knowledge left in me and I will never die without my testimony out on the table. Stay strong to the faith, know that I am out here because I have a testimony that I was selected by revealation to serve in this part of the Lords vineyard for a specific task or reason. I love you all and hope all is going well. Stay true to the faith and do all you can to do the Lord's will.
